Well, the crash I was talking about was caused by a malformed SMTP request sent to the server cpu-central is currently on. It caused all services under IIS to stop - wich also disabled the monitoring script since it sends email through that SMTP server.
I believe the other crashing that your referring to and that I've seen a few times has to do with the fact the this board uses an Access Database. There are issues and limitations for sites using Access. The monitoring software I setup emails me and my cellphone immediatley when this type of crash happens (it actually tells me that the database could not be contacted).
I plan to move the site to its own server, I may get this done this weekend. I'm also looking into changing from Access to SQL.
