Up until recently i lived in MELBOURNE VICTORIA
but i just bought a house way out of melbourne at a place in North West Victoria[towards South australia-Adelaide]in a town called RAINBOW.Some 440km [app 250 -300 mls]from melb.Shure going to make getting spares an exercise;my nearest electronics shop is an hours drive away[so is the nearest set of traffic lights]Melbourne is a four and a half hour drive or more.Fortunately there,s plenty of online and mail order places i know of.
I am probably closer to adelaide as i,m close to the border between the two states of Vic. and S.A.
I,ve only been around the Electronics world for about 15 years and computers crept in the early nineties,but i haven,t met many people here in the local Gaming side of things;have a card for a guy
called Andrew @BlueToungueMultimedia.they were doing one of the more major titles recently.So no ,can,t say i know the G.C.W. crew or many others.
Know lots of techs and a few "Salesmen" ex IBM.4 one Spent 15 years prior to that being an aspiring Solo Recording Artiste';but that got mangled and to stop myself crawling up the wall i got myself back into Electronics.i Studied Sciences at school with the aim of becoming an electronics engineer, before i sidetracked to music.How long hve you been working with computers;Connie?I have a sister [56]who is a mainframe programmer/Analyst /teacher depending on what her current job is.She,s been doing that for 30+ years now.
