yeah, maybe I will go that route. I was thinkning I would end up with 2 pc's by getting the shuttle since I could keep my old system as is without having to swap anything. I'm running an Athlon 1800+ with 512meg and old everything (Radeon 9500 pro, sblive) so this will be a huge jump.

Maybe I will go with option 2 and get a new case, what the hell...I only seriously upgrade once every couple of years.

How about the Silverstone fanless PS? Anyone use it before? I'll just use the onboard sound/lan and only have 1 hard drive, 1 dvd drive and the video card. Those 300 watts should be enough.

I mostly want quiet, my putey room is pretty tiny, which is why I'll give those surround headphones a shot as well. thx for the response.
