I think the purpose of these are to be able to add them to a current 2.1, 4.1 or 5.1 set-up so's it'll grow with no need of adding an Xtra Sub...not to mention the portability of them for a Lappy's

What surprised me was the 3 Ohm factor and the claim of 15wt x2 hitting 100db's with 2.5 speakers dipping down to 50 Hz
