saw some guy in a google groups convo saying an ATI vid card caused the problem for him. I couldn't find anything about that elsewhere on the net though. You would think if the radeon 9800 pro was making xp setup not work, it'd be more well known.

So I also got that SATA drive, but xp setup didn't seem to have any problems seeing it and formatting it etc., even though i didn't even try hitting f6 for the drivers. It's not even an sp1 setup disc. But I guess if it was able to format, that wouldn't be an issue.
