When I first turned it on and looked through BIOS settings, it said that my processor zone temp was like 122 deg. F.

After my install follies, I looked again and it was at 57 deg C (like 127 F I think but I dont' remember now)

I got a retail p4 northwood 2.8 with fan/heatsink.
Wasn't any thermal paste included....
Intel website says:
"The boxed Intel Pentium 4 processor will have thermal interface material attached to the bottom of the heatsink or will be supplied with thermal interface material included in an applicator."

I'm guessing if there was no applicator thing it was already attached? I didn't really look at the bottom before I put it on.

Also, this is with no case fans funning cause I have the side panels off. My room is rather warm though.
