K7V Slot A, with an 800MZ Classic on it. Had it up and running again, booted SUSE, went to the desktop, SUSE came up with a processor overload warning, I rebooted it, went back to the desktop, shut it down to add the external modem and now no power. I can pull the ATX plug out and start to put it back it and it powers up for an instant, then nothing. Same with two PSU's. The board has a tendancy to run in "safe mode", slowing down the processor speed.

But the good news is SUSE can handle a board change with ease. YAST just comes up asks if you want to configure a few things and away it goes.

Any ideas off hand what the problem is? Bad onboard power connector? Or just the board is beginning to fail or the processor is failing?
