Not that you'll see same "speed" as AMDs run much slower but account for this with their "performance ratings" At the same speed an AMD proc would crush the P4, but taking PR into consideration AMD's are pretty close to equal to P4s. Each has something it does better, but by and large they're even. IIRC the P4 has a pretty weak FPU compared to the Athlon. Has that been cleared up? P4s menawhile tend to have much higher memory throughput, so if you're running memory dependant operations you should consider a P4.
