It's a serial v.92 modem. It works FINE under Win98se and XP Pro, but it will NOT install under XP Home.
I have tried it on two different machines running Home. One was a new HP, the other my new Shuttle SSF from ABS.
Both machines do same thing - during or right at end of copying files (hard to be sure exact moment) the machine simply shuts off and reboots. Install fails.
I have DLd the newest drivers for XP. Unpacked and pointed the installer to them, it starts to install - same result.
Two other PCs running 98se and XP Pro install fine, works well.
Anyone else have same experience? I have emailed BestData.
