You know the Windows XP "donk" attention sound?

I recently installed a Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000. Ever since then, when I shut down, at the point where all you see on the screen is the desktop wallpaper, I hear the "donk" sound before it shuts down.

Also, I don't know if this is related, but it seems like when I booting up, that between the mostly-black Windows loading screen and the welcome screen takes longer (screen stays completely black longer before getting to the welcome screen). I can't think of anything else that's changed other than adding a webcam and a USB hub.

Any thoughts?
