OS mashed by failed nForce2 driver removal ? Epox 8RDA+

I have just ruined my current OSinstallation by trying to do the right thing and update my mobo drivers. Epox 8RDA+ 2.41 nVidia nforce drivers installed over v2.30

I tried and had a problem with no sound, the MS WinME nVidia driver update refused to install. Possibly because its not appropriate or because some files in the official 2.41's were not recognised as MS certified. Not sure.

I then tried to remove the 2.41's and return to the 2.30s and lost my VGA driver and ethernet APM etc ie the mobo drivers are up the chute.

Now nomatter what I do I get the same bloomin problem every time I restart.

"Your display driver is not configured properly."

It sais its the main driver, bu thte ATI driver wont reinstall over the fault so I am stuck.

Any ideas or is this a format C: job...
