As for the P90 - You'd be suprised....
I wouldn't, because I still have hardware that old lying around. Works for the tasks described, yes, but at a nauseatingly slow pace -- rendering web pages, opening new application instances, switching between application windows, etc. And a very old laptop is even worse because of the slower disk subsystem and tuning for power-savings (unless you disable the power stuff -- but then bye-bye battery life, hello coffee warmer!)
Glad you get the use out of it, but anything slower than the Athlon 700 box is REALLY noticable to me (although my PII-300 laptop doesn't do too bad).
