Why bother with heat pipes or water cooling? Why not just drill a 1 cm. hole through the heatsink.
Locate a place (under the heathsink) directly above the cpu and begin drilling a hole. This way, the fan will remove the heat directly from the CPU and not from the heatsink therefore the efficiency is improved by 30%(maybe). I tried this on my other computer which always crashes after 30-45 minutes of playing Warcraft and very solid ever since. I usually get a scream from my son who likes to play Warcraft but now I can sleep without any disturbance. Try it, you might even get higher overclocking limit. Is there any technical problems that may affect the CPU?
