Hold down a [SHIFT] key while inserting the disk. Let go only after you hear the disc spin up. This is the per-instance way of preventing autoplay.

Alternatively, if you want to disable autoplay entirely for a drive, go to the offending optical drive in the Device Manager, pull up its properties, and under the Settings tag, UNcheck "Auto Insert Notification."
