Check your BIOS and see if it has an automatic shut-down/restart setting related to temperature. If so, raise its threshold, or disable it, and see what kind of results you get.

Also with 768MB of RAM, I assume you have at least two sticks, if not three. Try removing them one at a time and running the system on the other(s), and see if the problem goes away.
