My midis won't play - on 98se. They play fine if I boot into XP.

On 98, I can't hear the background sound on my "Baby" webpage. This happened before - the file launches and plays, but there is no sound. Nothing is set to mute in any sound options when double clicking the volume icon. Volume O.K.

Before, I removed and refreshed the sound card - that fixed it. Didn't help this time.

Funny thing - I save the webpage -File - Save As - into My Documents. If I view the source, there IS NO background sound listed!. Where it should be is like this: "" the folder/filename should be in the quotes.

It is there correctly in my source code - the page works fine under XP.

The file itself is not in the "files" folder! No such critter as wtp.mid!!!!

It IS there on my ISP server - 98 just isn't saving it!

If this was a driver problem, why would the folder/filename and the file be missing, and conversly, if a 98 issue with the page, why do no other midis play?

Weird weird weird. Maybe two problems, similar symptom?
