In a way they already exist called microchips & been around for many years, a complete computer on a chip with I/O ports. They were cheap thru certain sources was fun to use. But the downfall is they went way up in price about 10 - 15 years ago & killed many a designer projects. My buddy made a repeater controller & another friend made an alarm controller & I was in the process of designing a complete univerisal remote control that would do TV, VCR, ect & house codes X-10.
I no longer built electronics & only fix things now. Give me another year that may change :>)
