reading this fascinating book The Giza Power Plant (part of my private library of ancient Egyptian theories, etc. etc)

anyway, the author, Christopher Dunn, describes how the pyramid was a power source
and that in the King's Chamber, comprised entirely of 70-100 ton granite blocks, was used to generate hydrogen.
it explains further that there was an accident, that an explosion caused in the King Chamber pushed back all of the surrounded granite walls by more then 1 inch and lift up off their perch, the overhead granite beams which were used for the ceiling.

cool, huh?
