User Level just lets you set up a usename and login for the Win98 machine. It's more secure, because you can add a password, however this is Win98 where security is non existent.
To get pass the $prompt, You will have to create shares on your Win2K computer. Go into my computer and right click on the drive, folder, or files you want the 98 computer to be able to access. And select properties. Select the shares Tab. The only share on the C: drive will be labeled C$ which is not a real share. Click the new share button. Call it whatever you want to call it in the share name field. After naming it click the Permissions tab and set the permissions for the new users. After that's done, it may need a reboot. Then next time on the Win98 Computer's you click on Network Neighborhood and select the Win2K Box you will see whatever it is you called that share. When you double click the share name the Login and Password should show up.
Now if you want the Win98 computer to remember the password and login the easiest way is to go into My COmputer and click the Map Network Drive Icon.
