I am assuming that the right speaker works fine & sounds good then goes dead after a certain amount of time depending on the volume level ?.
I have never had a HK home or a computer sound system but. First off I would try a different set of speakers on the sound card just to make sure that the card is not the problem.
On a home system I would have you look for & replace a Circuit Breaker (red button attached to a retangler silver box) in the speaker box. You may have a CB inside on a computer sound system but where the electronics are. Now another bad electronic part in the right side speaker circuit could be bad & have the same effect like an output transistor (which could be part of a module preamp & amp both right & left channel).
