What MoBo & CPU do you have ?
As the website for your MoBo may have help &
knowing the chipset may help find the problem.
BTW your keyboard is part of the power up circuit & might affect the standby circuit.
Also check the CMOS setup your might have some settings in there relating to Power Management.
