doh.. well anyways..i havea machine..dual 750 p3 ona vp6.. was working fine till i upgraded to winxp from win2k..i kept getting a bad pool caller blue screen and looking at forums at viaarena its from the upgrade from 2000 to xp..so i decided to do a full format and install..but hell broke loose and now i am stuck..at first it was ok and i used the 6 xp setup disks to setup windows..the computer is runnign raid 0 so i had to install the hpt370 contoller and i did that fine..i deleted the old partition and then tried to install..i then kept getting this drive is not suitable for winxp..somehting like windows cannot setup windows on this drive..so i was like umm ok..so then i took all my pci cards out thinking that would help..then the same thing..ok so im like wtf..then i put the cards back in..no post..errr..so i figure out after like an hour that its my sblive value card that wont let it post..i get a beeeep bep bep when the card is in any pci slot..so i take it out and the computer posts with just the ram(512 mushkinrev3+) and the geforce 2 pro..BUT THEN...it hangs..after detecting the ide devices it hangs..nothing ctl alt del dont work...just sits there..im stuck and desperate..need lots of help here..please someone put me out of my misery..here are the system specs..
ABIT VP6 (dual socket 370)
2xp3 750
Had win2k(no partition now)
RAID 0 2 WD 20g hd
gefroce 2 pro 64mb
sblive value pci 4(not currently wokring in any slot)
3com us robotics 56 modem in pci 3
3com ethernet card in pci 5
need anythign else please let me know..
