This is an old problem on the Epox machine, but just zeroing in on what it might be. Occassionaly on boot I have nada on screen. Everything is running but I don't get a "Beep" and I have a blank screen. Usually if I turn it off and on a time or two, it beeps and away we go. But since this am it's being very stubborn I figure it's time to get to the bottom of this annoying problem.
Yesterday it started with the fans reving up and down which which makes me think it's power supply related. Have an Enermax on there but it's one of the older ones, 330 Watt. I'll have to look up the number on it....
When I switched Sonny to this board the only thing I did was change the video card to a V3-3000 and add the internal modem. Now if my memory is correct I had this problem more when I was running the V3-2000 on the board with this PS than after I put the ATI Radeon 7200 on there. I'm thinking that the V3 pulls too much power and that I'm at my limit here.
Here's what's in the machine
Epos8KTA+
Full Tower, Enermax EG351P-V, 330Watt
Sony CD-RW
Floppy
V3-3000
Duron 700MZ
512 Meg PC133 Ram
Maxtor 40 gig 5400RPM HDD
Modem Blaster ISA Hardware Modem
SB Live Value
And these fans:
3 case fans
Processor fan
Slot cooling fan, under the VooDoo
The Enermax has 2 fans(Bigger than the case fans)
And there are 3 little HD cooling fans, but I unplugged tham.

Since this has done this with two different monitors I'm ruling those out.
Mouse is USB. Printer is USB

It's the processor fan that's reving up and down this time.Er was.....it was quiet this am but whirring away.

Sooooooooo what ya think oh great Hardware wizards?
