is that it writes to the disk. That's usually the last thing that you would want to do if your in a data recovery scenario. There is a really nifty program called lost and found that used to be made by PowerQuest that can perform miracles and retrieve your lost files. This isn't the first time that I recommend this product and I don't want to sound like a salesman, except that it has saved my life (well, at least my data) on many occasions that would of otherwise been hopeless. For some strange reason I don't think that they sell it anymore, but I think that you can still find it on the web. Try the link...
