In your case I might go with protecting both the Computer & the UPS so you do worry alot. Really your main goal is protecting the computer & that is what I would surge protect. If the UPS gets hit then that would kill some of the surge on its own & hopefully the next surge protecter before your computer will kill the rest. Uninterrupted power mean not losted, the battery power should be regulated, but if line power is on the the UPS is sitting idel waiting for the power to go out so it can turn on its power from the battery & that is what is regulated.

If your line power hits & maintains 130 volts I would start bitching to the power company.
Don't be suprized if your light bulbs do not last as long thou.
