Gaining ground here. Upped the page file to 1536 meg and things are smoother. Not great but better.
Ok fellas head scratching time. Think setting the aperture up to 1/2 my system ram (256 meg) will help? If Maxis optimized the game for XP shouldn't I take it out of WIN98 compatibility mode? It's something with XP and the memory but I don't know what yet and like I said those with much bigger machines than mine and more ram and GF2,3 & 4's are faring any better. Still have that damn 45 minute loading time though. WTF does this game load under "Importing Entertainment Talent" that takes 27 minutes of the load time? Personally I didn't see that much entertainment
