Ok, I've been wondering about this one for a while. WHy is it that Return to castle wolfenstein will load off of CD in under a minute on my system, but if I rtry to copy files off of a CD it takes 10 minutes to move the same amout of data? The RtCW install is just over 650 megs, and the files I moved were about the same. The only thing I can think of is that the DC is a burned disc, and the drive is slowing down on purpose because ithe burned CD's quality isn't that of a stamped CD. Anyone have any thoughts, or experiences?

BTW, this was done using a 72X Kenwood, onto a striped RAID array consisting of two 15 gig 75GXPs.
