The guys that installed mine were sub contractors, and since I ran the cable for them, they gave me all kinds of pointers. They even said the cable company didn't care, as long as they couldn't see down my network.
I did notice the CC had all kinds of deals to get you to buy into their "Home Networking Soulution".
Which is basically what I had already.
