They have made a HSF that attached to the bottom of the processor, I know because I had to use one for the same problem your describing. Too bad I don't know where to get them or If I still had it would be yours now.
It slid over the processor and you turned the fan housing to adjust the tension on the CPU. Neat Idea and it wasn't strong enough to snap the proc in two.
