I have a SoyoVX board whose BIOS chip was dead, so I couldn't really do much with it (the default BIOS settings were a bit screwy). What impressed me most was the board's quality -- the thing flexed like a sheet of tagboard, DIMM slots and everything. I think everything on that board was built from recycled rubber bands.
Fortunately, it DID prove useful, eventually. The clock crystal died on my sister's FIC 503+ at one point, so we pulled the identical crystal off the Soyo and repaired the 503+ 
My first, and so far, only, Soyo experience So I guess I am pretty biased in that regard.
