Sizeable HDD problem

Ok, this is a weird one. My computer crashes after about 1-4 minutes of this if and only if both of these situations are met. If I am streaming from the HDD, and if I am multitasking. Even something as simple as running IE while streaming from the disc will crash the computer. I love to browse while listening to music, too. I am running a RAID 0 array comprised of two 15 gig GXP 75. I do hear a minto scratching sound from at least one of the discs when it accesses the drives. I'd run the RFT, but I do not know if it's possible from the C drive and I have no floppies left. Any thoughts?
