For the heck of it try a different keyboard if you have one laying around. One thing most people do not know is that the keyboard uses a computer in itself to scan the keyboard buttons & may need to be reset to work. & the only way to reset most keyboards is a reboot of some type. A friend actually added a reset switch to his keyboard along time ago when they were about $70 for cheap ones. Now days the keyboard are also tied into the power down system of the MoBo.
