HW or SW or both???...HW RAID uses less resources and benefits mostly from write buffering and of course ther is RAID 1-5 (maybe more) but if your wanting performance then the best I found was block 16 in RAID O or something that uses less then the disk block....True my IDE when Partitioned and seperated correctly/properly gets close to RAID performance but I use em both for backing up, ghosting, and Vid's etc...if you are mirroring then sacrifice must be made for security |
