When I rebooted I left the modem on standby. This means that I have no way of accessing the net, ie if I were to open a browser I'd get nothing. I am not so sure of whether I could send, but I definitely could not recieve. Either way, if I am making an attempt to send data the firewall would stop that attempt whether I had access or not (right?). I was still getting hits on the firewall with the net off. Which is why I thought I had a problem of some kind eventhough it said I was recieving as opposed to sending. Ohh, scary thing, During one of my many reboots while I was still getting the supposed attacks I saw a dos window and I could swear I saw the word trojan in that window. The window dissapeared before I could read it. Any easy way to see if I got anything odd? Just for your info though, I still got the alerts for another two reboots or so after that.

Unrelated question, Is there any reason why I should allow Microsoft Q manager to access the net? Also, I did a netstat and it showed me having a connection to winders update yet I have never used that. Any reason why that would've hapened?
