Was this the same PSU you built the athlon system on ?
If it was then the case & switches would be the same to right ?

I had a different problem with the power button on 2 cases that were the same type, a dual case kind that could be used as a desktop or mid tower (builders choice). What happened is the retainer that held the button switch into the front of the case was cheap little snaps that broke off on me & the whole push button switch would get pushed into the case when you tried to push the button (cover built into the case) so the switch would not turn the computer on or off. The fix was easy I pushed the switch into place from the inside of the case & used caulk in bottle on 2 back sides of the switch & let it dry that way & no more problems that way.

If your switches maybe cheap a fast test is to short the power on leads on the MoBo together for a second or two then let off. A safer way is to switch the reset plug with the power plug on the MoBo & see if the reset button turns on the computer then you know thats your problem or not.
