SuSe is classified as a n00bie distro, along with RH and Mandrake. Debian seems to be the hardcore distro from what I've heard.

Personally, I'm running RH 7.2 on all my linux boxes, since "My name is SickOfItAll and I AM A N00BIE!!". I've tried Mandrake 8.1, was just as easy to install and config. Just follow the installer, go with the default options, and all should be easy as pie.

I prefer RH because it seems to have more support out there for the Linux idiot, which I are, and most hardware mfg's offer their drivers precompiled for RH (otherwise you will have to download driver binaries and compile them yourself, which really isn't hard, but can be confusing for a beginner).
