Can anyone give me some pointers on installing Linux? I've finally gotten a hold of a second monitor so I can do stuff to the Linux boc while viewing helpful places like this one. Also, will I need a floppy drive, or can it all be done from CD? I am going to use Mandrake because I've been lead to believe that it is the best newbie version out there. I've got RH Debian and SuSE, too though (have to get my moneys worth with this cable modem), so suggest as you wish.

All of the hardware is pretty standard. ASUS A7V (non 133) GF256DDR SB live 4.1 Linksys NIC. Think I will have much trouble, or no? I've looked over some documentation on fdisk, it looks fairly straight forward, and I think I can handle it.
