I'd be pleased with th 10% increase. Dunno why SiSoft estimates them @ 6ms but if you want to tweak the drive then the best/easiet way is uping the FSB Bus ...Here are some other notes:

Win98SE likes 2 gig Partitons so I put i @ the front of the drive(s) or XP has less then 6 Gigs
in front

I load all my proggies on a seperate partition

I slit the other patitions @ arounf 10-15 gigs for A/V, Music,Storage, and Ghosts of other Drives.

My results are:
Sisoft ATAU100 Drive Index=2400vs mine=30271-36950
