That Be didn't want their logo integrated into the windows disc. It was that they had deals going with other companies to include this option in their prefabbed computers. M$ has a deal with some (if not all) manufacturers that they have more M$ icons on a freshly installed desktop than any others. They were pushing this a bit too far when they ordered these companies to remove the icons or else they'd pay full retail (or close to it) price per OS license.
