Tis just a thought, if your mb supports ATA 66/ATA 100, are you using the 40 pin 80 conductor cable and is the blue end of the cable plugged into the MB. Provided the settings are correct on the HD, ie: master and slave (master on end of cable, slave on centre) . If you don't have the proper settings on the HD for both the Slave/Master, AND the cable select, you could have problems. Settings are available from WD web site, maybe something to check out. Also on boot up, if you can catch it, you should be able to determine whether both drives are showing ATA66/ATA100 as recognized by the Bios. Good Luck.. Q? any particular reason why you are using ide 3&4.
