Sounds like the super glue might be keeping you from making a connection. So I guess that these new CPU's let you connect only @ the laser cuts.
You might be better off cleaning all that garbage off the CPU & using a mechical pencil. Thou I have never used the defogger repair paint I have used the conductive pen on an older Athlon & its not real easy to do in a small area like that. Since then I have used the pencil trick on 4 of my 5 Athlons.
