With my cable modem I am limited by the server sending me the files. Fast servers will feed me data at 350KB/sec, slow servers send me data at 60KB/sec. My average speed is around 150-200KB/sec.
Where I live you will never see these speeds on DSL. Also, DSL uses PPPoE = sux0r
