& I wish had a link ready.
Before my internet days & not even sure where I got the info (magazine ?) & the price turned me off on the idea. Data recovery does cost alot because the machines that reads the HD cost over $200 K & has to be done in a clean room, they charge like by the Mega Bytes. I was hoping someone had a link already for you.

There is one thing we have not tried maybe you have have you tried this test that HD in another system or checked the 12 volt drive line to see if your Power Supply is up to snuff ?

Your only other hope would be my risky booster jumper idea (my last post to MS here) but from your other post that drive may need a constance higher voltage to keep it running. You need a newer motor & if you tried changing it you would more then likely crash the heads very bad shit.
If you can get the HD spinning & keep it going the
best idea is do it on a system setup to recovery from this drive boot from floppy or another HD &
have a program like Nortons ghost to copy every thing over so up to 3 HD's would be needed.

If you would I could try doing a search for you.

Bob
