I recently got a K7S5A (ECS) board with an XP1600 and a Maxtor 60Gig HD. During boot up it detects the drive as a DMA drive. But in windows 2000 pro it only gets setup as PIO mode. I have e-mailed ECS about a week ago, no response. I also found on the net that some other SiS chipsets had this issue, but the fixes did not work for the chipset that comes with the K7S5A. Help.
