if the Tyan has broader tolerances but less refined timing etc, it will still make hay with 2 procs but it wont make as much; but it will accept more procs with looser timing specs.

I have no knowledge of MP systems whatsoever but
it is only logical... captain !

PS what I dont get is why MP use is application specific, I would have thought it ought to be organised by the bios no matter what the app'n.
