Although I do not think it is a codec thing, I would not bet money on it. I found different versions of Divx to really mess with some movies. If you play it with Windows Media player, what format does it say the movie is? Windows media player should play them fine. I assume you are opening the .dat file on a vcd cd? I think it is based on an mpeg 1 codec. From what I recall I have been able to play them with media player from a fresh install of Win98. |
