I only have 4 satellites and 2 Subs on mine and it works with or withou the jacks plugged in ...possibly could be that you have to go and into the control panel and set it to 5 or 7 speaker set up under Sound & Audio Devices or check the Surround Mixer in Audio HQ and make sure the 5.1 Speakers is listed...not four...it'll work anyways
