People have to object or else nothing will get done.

Case with disk security, I damaged a CD of Black & White and had to pay £5 for the priviledge of getting another copy of the CD so that I could run the program due to the security issues with the CD ! If the program was copyable and secure by other means (than using my own CDROM player - what a cheek !) I would not have needed to worry about damaging the CD. SO that is a liberty that has become a convention because noone made a fuss about it.

I dont object that they want their fair dues or that they are using security I cant crack, I object that I ( the customer ) am paying the price of criminal activity in the first place by these inconvenient security procedures and that these security measures are now being used to extort money from me !!

Its an issue of justice IMHO and I am sure something has got to give - like I said. I think consumers have got to get a bit proactive with consumer protection agencies to see any constructive change over this, so I think I will look for an opportunity to write to some of these consumer people and make sure they recognise and are working on these issues.
