At first I thought the WD 6.3gb in my linux rig was dying (and a POS to boot) because my kernel files kept getting corrupted and I would have to completely reinstall after a few days of use. Then I discovered that it was actually the cheapo CDROM drive I was using, dumping garbage into the binaries as I copied them over during installation. I changed the CDROM drive out, and haven't had a single problem since (it's been running 24/7 for 2 weeks now).

This WD was pulled out of the storage closet after not being used for about 3-4 years. When I threw it in the machine, just for kicks, I booted it up to see what was on there. Came up with Win95, booted perfectly. Hehe...
