I just read the article & they left out as far as I can tell what this thing connects to.
Also a keyboard standard & PS2 is like a computer in of itself which powers itself up &
does its own POST thing on its electronics then checks to see if any buttons are stuck down which happened alot in the old days or the key connectors get just dirtry & stop connectiong or
get stick & not go down @ all. If you pull the keyboard plug & plug it back in it will no longer work cause the computer when it boots checks the keyboard part of its POST job checks the
keyboard & clears the keyboards 2 hardware ports. I do know in the older keyboards there was
a pin that would reset the keyboard a friend added this button to his keyboard to get it to work right & also way back when the keyboards had switches for XT (orginal) or AT (newer like we have now) keyboards which were way different from each other.
What I am saying this is no easy job the keyboard uses an row & collum decoder to find each key & the software that Devastor uses is important to beside the hardware ports it is set to & the keys that are used.
Then there is the trackball & the spinner these must work off of the serial & maybe the game ports as these are analog input devices & the keyboard is an digital input device.
This is a big task & maybe someone on the web has already done all the hard work but I have never seen it.
